Duration : 2 or 3 days with the visits of the (many) castles
Difficulty : none in dry weather, trails can be slippery when it rains ; be careful in summer when there are a lot of walkers, cyclists and horse riders ; the area between Parcay and Saumur is not recommended during the grape harvest (beginning to mid-September)

History and wine lovers, this road book will delight you. We propose you to join the castle of Chenonceau on the banks of the Cher, former residence of Catherine de Médicis, to the castle of Saumur on the banks of the Loire. On the way you will discover the citadel of Loches, the castle of Azay le Rideau but also the castle of Chinon and the one of Saumur to name only the main ones. On the vineyard side, between the Touraine AOC, Bourgueil and Saumur Champigny, you will have something to delight your taste buds.
